Dyffryn Conwy Paddlers

The club was formed in 1991 by a group of women who were participating in C2 (touring Canadian canoes) under the instruction of Jackie Freer. Jackie’s history in marathon paddling then took over as men joined in and more boats were acquired. Over the years the fleet has grown and members have taken part in marathon, sprint, white water, stand up, sea, slalom, surfski and adventure race paddling, some members reaching GB team standard. The club is based on the Conwy Estuary and is open to all adults. Most people paddle marathon or sea boats – some to race and some just to have an enjoyable paddle.

North Wales Sub Aqua Club

North Wales Sub-Aqua Club (NWSAC) are an affiliate club of the Sub-Aqua Association (SAA Club #136). We offer SCUBA diver training in a friendly, relaxed and professional atmosphere. We are based in Llandudno, North Wales which has some of the UK's best dive sites within easy reach of our club slipway. We follow the SAA motto of being the "friendly divers" and always welcome new members to the club. We have our own fast RIB and air compressor onsite.

Our main focus is on fun and progressive diver training with safety being of paramount importance. You will learn in a structured way at your own pace with instructors who hold internationally recognised qualifications. The emphasis is on safe, thorough training in a friendly club atmosphere with volunteer instructors who provide training for the love of the sport, not for profit. We dive more or less every weekend throughout the year at various locations, which include boat, shore and inland dive sites. We also organise regular trips within the UK and abroad.

Whether you've yet to experience the underwater world or are a qualified diver already then just come along to one of our club meetings which are held every Sunday evening at 8pm in Llandudno Sailing Club.

Holyhead Cycling Club

The club has always been close knit as the number of members has not exceeded thirty and all have been involved in a great variety of cycling activities - time trialling, road racing and leisure challenge rides. Like many cycling clubs though, the mainstay has been the weekly club time trial ranging from ten mile trials to a sporting 25 mile event held on the Rhosneigr - Aberffraw - Newborough road (A4080) and also offer an ideal opportunity for newcomers with there 8 mile time trial based on the Rhosneigr - Engedi - Rhosneigr course. Clubruns are popular in the close season for socialising and training while in the season the weekends are for open events on the R.T.T.C. and W.C.U. calendar. The club has over 25 years experience in holding events ranging from the Welsh championships to weekly time trials. The club welcomes new members from all aspects of cycling from the novice to experienced cyclist. A warm welcome will be given to all. We are an organisation for young people based on environmental and social issues. We meet on a weekly basis to do fun and educational activities, most of the time outdoors. We hope to run the John Muir award as a way of offering a structured project based around exploring and conserving wild places. We would like to offer training for the adults who work with our young people in order to deliver high quality experiences. We are also interested in offering training for our young people so that they can become more confident in working outdoors.

The major annual dinghy events are the Annual Abersoch Dinghy Week and Abersoch Mirror Week are run from the beach. These are run separately from all other events and attract nearly 500 dinghys to the two events. The Clubhouse has an idyllic position on a rock outcrop overlooking Cardigan Bay, with stunning views towards Snowdonia, St. Tudwal's Islands & the West Coast of Wales. Lying just offshore are the moorings for numerous keelboats, with visitors moorings available.Sailing takes place in the surrounding waters of Cardigan Bay with races being held for IRC and PYS keelboats, National Squibs, Sportsboats, Seabird Half Raters and various dinghy classes. A launch service operates from the club jetty from May until September which is of course also available to visitors. We are one of a few local clubs with a keen interest in water sports who meet at the SEASPORTS club house situated on the Promenade and having the finest view of Rhos harbour. We hold our monthly meetings, plan our race strategies and socialise in the club house. Karen our stewardess serves a nice pint and sells fresh home made rolls. The club house is open all year round with the usual licensing hours. Visitors are most welcome. We have a dinghy section which meets most Sundays during the sailing season on the promenade in Rhos-on-Sea at the Aberhod slipway (duly named because it is located opposite the Aberhod restaurant.) Visitors and new members would be Most welcome to join in with the racing.
