The North West Wales Outdoor Partnership has been operational for two and a half years. There have been a number of key achievements during this period including the establishment of 22 new community clubs, offering support and training to over 70 community volunteers, implementing a pilot within local primary schools for a new Outdoor Award for Wales and improving the pathways to employment in the outdoor sector for local people.

If you would like more detailed information with regards the achievements to date you can download a copy of the most recent annual performance review by following the link 'Annual Reports' at the bottow of the menu.

These successes could not have been achieved without the magnificent efforts of a small team of highly professional staff, a group of enthusiastic and committed individuals steering the project, an army of keen volunteers and a host of other organisations that contribute to the work.

As we approach the end of our first three year period we intend to carry out a review of the project. The purpose of the review will to be:

1. Recognise the strengths and weaknesses of the current project (October 2005-present) 2. Prioritise areas for development during the next 3 year phase (April 2009-March 2012)

We are keen to involve in the process all organisations that have contributed so far as well as organisations that may not yet have been involved but who share our aspirations. Your opinions are valuable to us.

In order to gather opinions we intend to host a workshop on Tuesday 22nd April at Plas Menai. A professional facilitator will lead the workshop. During the morning we will be looking back at lessons learnt from the initial period whilst in the afternoon our attention will turn to planning and priority setting for the next period of development. The session will begin with coffee at 9.30am and we will finish by 4.00pm. A buffet lunch will be provided.

If you would like to attend I would be grateful if you could confirm your attendance by contacting Tracey Evnas on 01690 720 106 or email tracey.evans@mountaintrainingtrust.org.
