Flexible Support Fund

Duration: 10 weeks

Type of activity:

Low level coastal walks, hill walking and big days out on the Mountain. We will also provide through our partners (WEA Cymru), accredited short courses.

Aim of the project:

Introduce people to low, mid and high level walks within north Wales, whilst also providing the skills to be able to access the mountain environment with confidence. Hillwalking has many benefits including; improving confidence, fitness, health and well-being. We believe that that people will be more likely to gain employment if they participate regularly in an outdoor activity.


Accredited short courses in; Communication, planning, teamwork, problem solving, organising, time management, leadership, flexibility, negotiation,self-awareness, decision making, job search skills.

2 Day Rescue Emergency Care First Aid Course Lowland Leader Training (If participant meets  pre-requisites for the course)

Who is it for?

People who are currently claiming benefit, over the age of 25 from the counties of Gwynedd, Conwy and Anglesey.
