About the club
The Caerphilly Adventure Group (CAG) provides outdoor activity opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.
Caerphilly Adventure Group is made up of a team of volunteers that work in partnersh
ip with Caerphilly County Borough Council's Outdoor Education provision, namely, Caerphilly Adventures.
All official CAG activities are covered by the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA) via Caerphilly Adventures. Such events are also covered by CCBC’s public liability insurance.
This allows CAG to provide adventurous activities to children and young people under the age of 18 within the scope of the licence. These activities include:
• Water sports
• Trekking
• Indoor climbing
Adult activities undertaken by the group include:
• Kayaking, canoeing and Stand Up Paddle Boarding
• Mountaineering and hill walking
• Camping and expedition
• Bushcraft
• Gorge walking and Adventure Walking
• Cycling
Many of our volunteer leaders hold National Governing Body Awards such as Mountain Leader Award, Climbing Wall Award, Mountain Bike Leader, Paddlesport Coach and first aid training
